Finding the "Vulgates" of life

When nothing makes sense, when all you see is the “bad” of life, when you think that God is messing things up, consider this:

In the early 1300’s John Wycliffe began translating the Bible. After years of work, and many dangers (since translating the Bible into English was illegal) the Catholic Church leaders found out about his work. The actions of the church were nothing but extreme. What may have been considered a great defeat to the work of God was actually Gods hand at work. How could this be good? Consider that John Wycliffe was translating the Latin Vulgate into English. The Vulgate was a corrupt bible translated by a catholic priest, therefore had Wycliffe’s work been preserved it would have strengthened the grip of the Roman Catholic Church. This opened way for the KJV translation in 1611. While I’m not saying that the KJV version is the only inspired version, I am saying that it was translated straight from the Greek Bible which makes it a more reputable source.

So what’s the point? Simply that we don’t know what the big picture is. Let God perform his perfect work, it’s only when we step in that things get messed up
