After the typical greeting Paul starts into his introduction. V3 Paul explains what salvation has done for us: Salvation "has blessed us" but what are those blessings? Vs. 4-10 Explains;
I. He chose us before the creation and thus the result must be to be holy before Him.
II. God pre-determined to save us (or the whole gentile people) which is what He has done.
III. We have redemption in Him; That redemption is forgiveness; That forgiveness is in harmony with His grace.
