Works of God: Strength Through Prayer

I had a week full of lessons learned. It all started on Tuesday when we had the day of prayer. Before hand I was wondering how I would be able to pray for a whole day, but after starting I began to realize that there is so much to pray about. I went to college thinking that prayer was something that I do for myself; well that’s not what it’s for. Prayer is for God, it is a time that we can fellowship with him, not a time for me to tell him what I need. On Tuesday we prayed through the Lords Prayer, wow what an amazing prayer that is. I mean, it’s the model prayer, I now can see that my prayer life has been lacking and I need to strengthen it.
Then on Friday I was struggling with a particular sin, and in my devotions I read about the Lord giving forgiveness and being able to rise up again. I praise the Lord for the forgiveness he gives, without it I would have no hope. Don’t ever stay down, falling is going to happen, we are humans. Cling to the power, and forgiveness of Christ to lift you up and you will have freedom from sin.
