Where does my victory come from?
This week I have heard 3 messages on this, I think the Lord has taught me a few things about this area. In Philippians, Paul says if God be for us, who can be against us. Well that is so true even if we can’t see it. Last week was a long and very tiring week. The Lord sustained me and gave me strength. I saw many victories in my life, as well as some falls but the Lord is gracious. On Sunday Dr. Heron preached a message on Philippians, what a challenge it was. Our victory is already won, we just need to recognize this and live it. It is sad that so often we live a life of defeat. In my devotions I have been studying through the Pentateuch and the Gospels simultaneously. It has been great to see in the Pent. The need for the perfect king, sacrifice and then in the Gospels see that need fulfilled through Jesus Christ. I am so thankful that he died for me. I don’t have to go through a priest anymore, I don’t have to follow all those rules that made me clean, and I can know once and for all time that when I die I will be in the presence of the Lord.
Well, God is good.

Just about everything leaves me thinking of a song.
O Victory in Jesus! My Savior forever. He sought me, and He bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him. He plunged me to victory with His redeeming love!
